AMD Ryzen 3000 processors continue to be a real hit on the European market, especially in Germany, where we can find one of the largest retailers, MindFactory.
Well, according to results for the second quarter of 2019, AMD really got Intel in its pocket!
The Ryzen 5 3600 alone sells more than the entire Intel Core 9000 range!
Second quarter results now shared by Reddit Ingebor user. They show that the strong release of the Ryzen 3000 was not just a fluke, and that the products still dominate the desktop PC market.
Therefore, AMD Ryzen 3000 sales account for 78% of MindFactory's total sales. (Intel -> 22%)
Thus, about 18,000 Ryzen processors were sold, while Intel only managed to ship 5000 units. That said, out of 78%, the biggest slice belongs to the mid-range king Ryzen 5 3600, with second place being the Ryzen 7 3700X and to top the top 3 we get the still excellent Ryzen 5 2600 which now costs less than $ 130.
Interestingly, the Ryzen 5 3600 alone sold more than the entire Intel 9000 range!
Results that happen, even taking into account the problems that AMD is having in stock. With the Ryzen 7 3700X and Ryzen 9 3900X always sold out. As a result, results may improve over the coming months, which is not big news for Intel.
Similarly, PassMark software shows that AMD's market share is rising considerably… Incidentally, the results are starting to be too bad for the blue team. After all, in July Intel dropped from 76.9% to 70.7%, and now it's back down to 68.1%. However, AMD is already at 31.8%.
AMD won't get on the brakes anytime soon!
AMD's planning for the coming years shows that the focus on Zen cores is to continue. With the ultimate goal of putting Intel in the background. An overwhelming attack from AMD, while its rival continues to deal with the 10nm process issues.
