Amazon : an official advertises Echo Buds with an AirPods in the ear!

Amazon has just lifted the veil on Echo Buds, wireless headphones inhabited by Alexa, to compete with the famous AirPods ofApple. During the official presentation, a manager ofAmazon Strangely appeared on the screen with an AirPods slipped into the ear. Unsurprisingly, the presence of this earpiece has surprised users.


This Wednesday, September 25, 2019, Amazon took advantage of an annual conference in Seattle to unveil a handful of new products with Alexa integrated. The American company has presented the Echo Buds, wireless headphones with an active noise reduction system designed by Bose. Sold at 129.99 dollars, the Echos Buds announce themselves as a solid alternative to the AirPods ofApple, whose second generation is offered at a starting price of 179 euros.

An executive Amazon extols the benefits of Echo Buds with an AirPods screwed into the ear

Unfortunately for Amazon, an AirPods slipped into the presentation conference of Echo Buds, report our colleagues 9to5Mac. Interviewed live by Bloomberg, Dave Limp, Senior Vice President, Devices and ServicesAmazon, appeared on the screen with an AirPods in the right ear. During his interview, the man talks about the strengths of Echo Buds but also the new Echo Dot and Echo Frames, the smart glasses of the group.

Unsurprisingly, the intrusive presence of this AirPods has made users react to Twitter. "I think you're wrong Dave headphones" has a tweet. "It's like the mention Twitter for iPhone but in real life "laughs another. According to 9to5Mac, it is not impossible that the earpiece was provided by Bloomberg for the purposes of the interview.

As a reminder, the AirPodsApple are currently the undisputed leaders in the wireless headset market. According to analyst firm IDC, AirPods account for 50.2% of the market in the second quarter of 2019. In recent months, however, many alternatives have emerged. We think in particular of the latest Freebuds unveiled by Huawei.
