THE Amazon made the first commercial partnership with an artist to launch a custom model of one of its smart speakers. And the debut was announced this Wednesday (22): a Amazon Special echo for fans of American singer Billie Eilish.
Inside, the device is the same with a 5.25″ woofer and 330W maximum power, plus a 1″ tweeter and three 2″ mid-range speakers. It features space audio technology, which ensures greater immersion in audio playback, and can be connected to other smart devices and commanded by Alexa’s personal assistant.
The big difference is in the look: instead of the traditional black color, the device comes in a lighter version and has a photo of the singer. In addition, the purchase comes with a free six-month subscription to Amazon Music, even for those who are already registered.
O Amazon Echo special edition of Billie Eilish will be sold on Amazon for US$229.99, which is approximately R$1,200 in direct currency conversion. The price is US$30 above the regular model and the initial pre-sale has already closed in less than 24 hours due to lack of stock.
The release is scheduled for October this year at the North American store. In Brazil, the original Echo Studio was launched in June 2020 for R$1,500.
