Amazon launched its first smart watch application for its music streaming service, something indispensable to be able to compete with other giants in the sector.
For now Amazon Music is available on some Garmin smart watches, watches where we can download and play music without problems. With the Prime subscription of Amazon that means accessing 2 million songs while subscribers of Amazon Music Unlimited get access to the full service library: 50 million songs.
Garmin watches have already been looking like several similar apps. First it was iHeartRadio, then Deezer and now Spotify. At the moment neither Apple Music, neither Pandora nor SoundCloud are on the platform.
To download the application you will need to access the Garmin Connect IQ store, being compatible with the D2 Delta, D2 Delta PX, D2 Delta S, Forerunner 245 Music, Forerunner 645 Music, Forerunner 945, Fēnix 5 Plus, Fēnix 5S Plus, Fēnix 5X Plus, MARQ Athlete, MARQ Aviator, Captain MARQ, MARQ Driver, MARQ Expedition and Vívoactive 3 Music.
Since its appearance, two days ago, it has already had more than 12,000 downloads, although the opinions at the moment are not very favorable: it has 2.6 stars out of 5. Most users complain about synchronization problems after a certain number of songs, or miscellaneous errors during synchronization, as well as incompatibility with certain watches of the brand.
