AMD's latest AGESA removes PCIe 4.0 on pre-X570 motherboards

The new AMESA AGESA update,, which was already published by several motherboard manufacturers, eliminates the attempt to support PCIe 4.0 on motherboards without the new X570 chipset.

Some motherboard manufacturers had enabled the support of the new standard for their motherboards B450 and X470; some with limited support, as in the case of some Asus motherboards, others with full support. However, these manufacturers' attempts were against AMD's strategy with its X570 platform: these "improvements" reduced a point of advantage of the new X570 motherboards over their "old" counterparts.

The new AGESA code has version number AM4 ABB, and includes a final solution for Destiny 2 players, which could not be played correctly on Ryzen 3000 processors. It is already being incorporated by manufacturers, and many boards mother already have BIOS with this AGESA.

What do you think of this AMD decision?
