Apple has formalized its chip A13 which equips the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. The firm presents them as the smartphones the most powerful at the moment thanks to their new SoC which offers the most powerful CPU / GPU combo against Snapdragon 855 and Kirin 980.
Like every year, Apple highlights the performance of its new SoC against competitors Android. By formalizing theApple A13 Bionic, the firm said it offered the best CPU / GPU pair in a smartphone. Graphics presented during the keynote compare the performance of the processor and the GPU to those of several high-end competitors, in this case the Galaxy S10 + and the Huawei P30 Pro. Apple however, did not make any comparison with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+.

Later during his Keynote of September 2019, Apple touted another asset of the A13 Bionic. SoC is also the most energy efficient chip. She is up to 40% more effective than the A12, which allows to get up to four hours of autonomy for the iPhone 11 Pro and five hours for the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
SoC Apple A13 is engraved in 7 nm and has 8.5 billion transistors. That's 1.6 billion more than on the A12 Bionic. The chip still offers six cores as on the previous generation with two high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores. Like the newer SoCs of the market, Apple optimized for artificial intelligence with the ability to perform more than 1000 billion operations per second.
Finally, the CPU, the GPU and the Neural Engine are all used for machine learning processes. In short, the CPU and GPU are 20% more efficientjust like the Neural Engine which also consumes 15% less energy.
