ASUS IFA 2019 – The manufacturer has introduced a brutal product range! – We had the opportunity to see what the company has to offer for the near future, during the IFA 2019 “Wiser Together” press event, which served to some extent to celebrate ASUS's 30th anniversary. But it also served as a warning to rivals that the brand may be older but also wiser and increasingly powerful.
Therefore, during the event we saw a series of new products, from the portable classics where the brand presented the most powerful machine in the market, to the fitness smart watches and also the one that is also the most powerful smartphone in the market.
In addition, the company has also announced the arrival of the ZenBook Pro Duo and ZenBook Duo, two notebooks that promise to revolutionize the way users use their machines.
Firstly, ASUS put a strong emphasis on its ProArt line for the most demanding content creators.
Therefore, since the launch of the first ProArt monitor in 2011, ASUS has been committed to meeting the specific needs of professional content creators. That is why it has been recognized with over 400 awards in this sector.
Still, in an effort to meet growing professional content creation work needs, as well as to provide new solutions for 3D designers, game devs and more, ASUS has launched a new ProArt product line.
ProArt StudioBook One
This notebook was completely designed for the 'Pro' market, featuring an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 (the first ever notebook with such a graphics). In addition, we also have a 9th generation Intel Core i9 super processor.
The main goal of this machine is to enable animation rendering, 8K video editing and data calculations to be handled more smoothly and efficiently. Saving precious seconds or minutes to a workflow that can be very complicated. (This is also why ProArt StudioBook One has a powerful cooling system with an aerospace titanium alloy thermal module.)
As you might expect, you can find a 4K screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as the 100% Adobe RGB range and Delta-E <1 rating, for the best color reproduction possible.
ProArt StudioBook Pro X
Here we have the first laptop to feature ASUS ScreenPad 2.0 as well as the ASUS NanoEdge screen. Thanks to this innovative design, we have access to a 92% (Screen / Body) ratio and a 16:10 ratio for greater immersiveness.
As we are talking about a 'Pro' product, we also support an exceptionally wide color gamut with 97% DCI-P3 color space coverage.
Like ProArt StudioBook One, with Pro X, users can edit and render multi-layer files using NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000. They can also count on a 9th generation Intel Xeon or Intel Core i7 hexa-core processor.
In parallel, the processor-attached Raid 0 system ensures the fastest possible storage performance at speeds up to 6 GBps compared to typical 4 GBps.
ProArt Station D940MX
This ProArt notebook has a slightly different philosophy from the above mentioned devices. After all, it's a compact desktop designed for content creators.
Still, inside its small body, we have incredible performance with a double-sided logic board to make room for the powerful CPU, GPU and overwhelming amount of RAM.
After all, it is powered by an Intel Core i9 processor with 2666 MHz DDR4 memory that can be up to 64GB. Similarly, we have access to an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card, dual storage with a 512 GB PCIe SSD and 1 TB HDD.
maximum rga, allowing users to work without distractions and not worry about humming fans in the background.
Designed for the demanding needs of content creators, the ProArt Station D940MX meets the tough military grade MIL STD 810G durability standards to ensure reliable long term performance.
ASUSPRO B9 (B9450)
The new ASUSPRO B9 (B9450) is the lightest 'Business' laptop in the world, weighing only 880 grams! So the idea was to combine exceptional performance with ultra-portable size, fast connectivity and solid endurance and security.
ZenBook Pro Duo (UX581) and ZenBook Duo (UX481)
These are for me the most interesting products of the whole presentation! After all, here we have the new ASUS ScreenPad Plus! A second 14 ”display that could revolutionize the way we interact with our notebooks.
Because with this screen, we have virtually endless possibilities for content creators, but also for gamers. In addition, we have very interesting performance with a 9th generation Intel Core CPU, 32GB RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card.
However, if you happen to have a slightly lighter wallet… You can always opt for the 14 ”ZenBook Duo!
Here you can find the same features as ScreenPad Plus in a lighter, smaller body. But of course, you will get a little less performance when you have an Intel Core i7 and a GeForce MX250 graphics card.
