With this statement I do not want to take away independence, but The world around us is prepared and equipped mostly for seers. With this experience, Hans Jørgen Wiberg, who is blind, thought why not ask for help in cases where it is necessary to see.
Hans Jørgen Wiberg's idea was to have a application that replaces the friend or relative who usually helps to read the recipes, and for this he was inspired by the mobile operating system of Apple which has a feature, which we have been able to talk about recently and which is called VoiceOver, which it allows people with vision problems to use an iPhone as a seer on equal terms.
With the idea and the device in his head, he created Be My Eyes, a non-profit organization whose application puts people with visual impairments in contact with volunteers who can help them in specific cases.
Be My Eyes grants will be given at predetermined times
Everything is voluntary and there is no compensation more than the satisfaction of helping. When you register as a user, you identify yourself as a sighted or blind person and select the language or languages in which you can help.
