Seeing that there is no clear way to bring the strange GEM phone concept to market, Andy Rubin Essential suddenly ceased to be a company earlier this week. Now, by chance, a bundle of stolen Essential products has gone up for sale on eBay, including an unreleased charging dock.
In addition to the dock, the sale includes an Essential phone in a deep blue sea depth plus a 360-degree Essential clip-on camera, a case for that camera, a headphone adapter, and a pair of headphones. Not all items have been opened except for the audio adapter and base which seem out of date.
Considering the timing and the fact that the sale includes a prototype that has not been released, it seems possible (maybe even!) That the post was published by someone who has a link to a company that considers its closure to be the right time to earn money. At time of writing, the auction reached $ 535 with 39 bids. If you are interested in having a history of the smartphone, please click on the link below and bid. You have time until 5:59 tonight, Timur on February 20
I'm sure a lot of you chase a bit to get a piece of the history of this smartphone, but unfortunately that list is no longer available. The page now says the listing was "canceled by the seller because the item is no longer available."
Because the dock is a prototype, the owner may be in the legal gray area when trying to sell a product that has not been released. At least we know about the dock's existence now, so it's tidy.
