Every time you listen to a song, iOS places a widget on your phone's lock screen so you can see what's playing and interact with the play as you like. Useful like this, it's unfortunate Apple It does not allow you to customize the aesthetics of the widget in any way.
Fortunately, it doesn't have to be this way if you're incarcerated. New free dub jailbreak adjustment Customplayer by the iOS developer iCraze allows users to colorize the Now Playing widget however they want.
In the example sample screenshot above, you can only see a few examples of the Now Playing color widget through CustomPlayer. Do you like the color options in our example? It is a moot point because you can choose the color you want for you.
After installing CustomPlayer, users will find a special preferences panel in the Settings app where they can customize CustomPlayer according to their wishes:
Here you can:
- Enable or disable CustomPlayer on demand
- Use solid colors for the Now Playing interface
- Completely hide the media player from the lock screen
- Enable or disable solid color options
- Choose a solid color to color the Now Playing widget with
- Enable or disable gradient color options
- Select the first and second gradient color options
The developer includes a Respring button in the preferences panel to help you save the changes you make to the default settings.
Not all jailbreakers are obsessed with coloring everything, but if you have a tendency to make your iPhone look very different from the one that's ready to go, then it's a great way to stand out from the crowd.
CustomPlayer is available as a free download from the Packix repository in any package manager you can use. This setting is compatible with iOS 12 and 13 Jailbreak devices.
