On October 1, Bungie moves with Destiny 2 from Battle.net to Steam. The transfer of the game progress is now possible and necessary until the change date. After October 1, Destiny 2 will no longer be offered through Blizzard's service, whoever wants to continue must follow the vendor to Valve.
The transfer is one time possible and includes all content for Destiny 2 on the old account. These include Player Accounts, Extensions, Silver Premium Premium and additional items purchased in or for the game, such as the Annual Pass.
Steam can only be played with the release of the free-to-play version Destiny 2: New Light on October 1st, which includes all enhancements completed in the first year after its release. Already now the next extension "Shadowkeep" for the shooter can be purchased via Valve's platform.
But there is a way out: Already on 21 August Bungie has unlocked cross-platform scores. Players who link their Xbox, PlayStation and Steam accounts through an account on Bungie.net can use the same characters on all systems, so game progress exceeds platform limits. Excluded are only stocks of silver that need to be purchased and used platform specific. There will be no cross play.
