Almost a year ago we learned that the trial against the United States began Apple by alleged monopoly in his App Store. This type of practice is being very researched in recent times around the world. It is understandable that large companies are investigated when there are suspicions of poor performance, however, some controversy that is asked to be carried out such as the emails of, among others, Tim Cook. This has recently been requested as reported by The Wall Street Journal.
Tim Cook and the CEOs of Amazon, Facebook and Alphabet in the eye of controversy
Being a company that generates millions of dollars a year means that all your actions are viewed with a magnifying glass by the competent authorities. Unfortunately on many occasions it has been done with compelling reasons when any of these has violated any law for its own benefit. On this occasion we find that four of the big companies worldwide, based in the United States, are being investigated by alleged monopolistic practices.
Apple, Amazon, Facebook and Alphabet They are in question in the United States, proof of this is that the Judicial Committee of the House of Representatives has recently requested to be able to access the emails of the executive directors of these companies. Tim cook, as CEO of Apple, would be one of those involved.
What Congress wants to know about Apple is everything related to the App Store, and therefore pretend to be able to access Cook's emails, including even personal communications and your searches. While we understand the need to move forward in investigations, we believe that reaching the point of violating a person's privacy is excessive, either Tim Cook or the other executives involved in Apple and other companies
We do not know if finally Apple or any of the other companies will agree to transfer the required information to the United States Congress. In any case it does not seem an obligation but for the moment a request. Knowing that this matter is a delicate matter and that justice is going slowly, it is likely that it will take several months until we have new information about it.
It should be noted that in the specific case of the App Store, application store of Apple Accused of monopoly, it has been recently resided with the objective that there be equal conditions among all applications when users perform searches.
Precisely also in relation to the App Store, we have known today of a new facility that offers Apple to users who have not been able to pay a subscription app. This is that users can continue to enjoy the advantages of the subscription for a certain time despite the fact that the payment method has failed, although obviously Apple will continue trying to charge the subscription during that period.
We will continue to inform you about this matter when new information becomes known, although as we said in previous paragraphs, it is likely that time will pass without knowing anything new.
