Freebox Delta: Apple Music will finally respond to Alexa's orders

The Delta Freebox will soon listen Apple Music via Alexa. The skill was launched a month ago, but for now only a handful of connected speakers are compatible. For those who own a Devialet speaker, the feature will not be long in coming.


August 20, Amazon launched the skill Apple Music allowing to use the streaming platform in association with connected speakers Alexa compatible. It was already the case for Spotify or even for Deezer, even without paid subscription. Apple Music joined the lot on August 20 but the Devialet speaker of the Freebox Delta is not yet compatible. For the moment, only a few connected speakers are entitled, in this case the speakers Amazon Echo as well as Sonos Beam and One.

As noted by Freebox Universe, many users have complained about a free help page. Despite the installation of the skill, the connected speaker retorts " Apple Music is not supported on this unit. There remains a work of adaptation to be done for a support ofApple Music, which a technician of Free confirms in a message posted on the forum.

"There is a Dev part to do before validation (by Amazon, Editor's note) ". The development is underway and the functionality should arrive very quickly on the Delta Freebox. Probably via an update that will be available in the coming weeks. It will then finally be possible for users ofApple Music to launch music tracks via voice commands.
