Google Cemetery, a site that brings together products discontinued by Google, will be updated soon. That's because the company will shut down Hire, a recruitment platform for human resources teams.
Launched in 2017 to simplify the hiring process for small and midsize businesses, the service will be discontinued on September 1, 2020. According to an email sent to Google Hire users.
“While Hire has been successful, we are focusing our resources on other products in the Google Cloud portfolio,” the company says. "We are deeply grateful to our clients, as well as to the advocates who have joined and supported us along the way."
While still in the air, Hire can help the corporate HR department. The platform integrates search, Gmail, Calendar, and Docs features that are used to search for professionals, schedule interviews, and send other messages.
Until the announcement of its termination, the service cost companies $ 200 to $ 400 per month, varying according to the number of G Suite licenses. With the decision, Google has announced that it will no longer charge for using the platform.
