It was assumed that Google could present them on October 15th, during the launch of the new Google Pixels 4, and apparently this year Big G will not present any Pixel Watch.
Pixel Watch: between promises and denials
This is a story that is repeated, this smartwatch was expected in 2016, at the Made by Google that year, but on that occasion, Big G did not reveal any Pixel Watch. The project froze due to the problems the company had encountered with Wear OS.
At some point it was thought the launch could take place with the first Pixels and Pixel XL, but even then the expectations were ignored. Now it really seemed the right time for the American company's project to become a concrete reality, even in the face of the acquisition of a division of Fossil happened a few months ago. Instead, unfortunately, apparently the Pixel Watch won't arrive next month, along with the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL.
Certainly this continuous succession of continuous postponements and promises then disregarded is not greatly appreciated by users, who have long hoped to have a wearable associated with Google Pixels. Google is in danger of losing the competition with its competitors at the start, which on the smartwatch front is becoming increasingly difficult and full of alternatives.
We also remember that among the most seasoned competitors there is certainly Apple. The Cupertino company has announced, along with the iPhone 11, its own too Apple Watch Series 5 with which, if they will not be placed on the wereable market capable of opposing hegemony, it is destined to dominate even this market segment.
Going back to Google, during the event launch of the new range of its smartphones, it is possible that the Mountain View giant presents, instead of the Pixel 4, the new Fossil Hybrid Smartwatch that, according to what recently leaked on the net, are based on its own Wear OS operating system.
