O Google announced this week that it has terminated travel planning application activities Google Trips. The first time the company revealed its intentions to close the app was in June of the year. But now, the decision seems to have no turning back. Those who have failed to save notes and travel destinations on time will be able to do so through the search engine when they are signed in to their Google account. The company has published a guide to help users who feel lost in the move.
App features can now also be found on the web version of Google Travel. To find information such as attractions, regional experiences, dishes, and famous neighborhoods in a destination, you need to search, for example, “things to do in Sao Paulo” on Google search, or go to google.com/travel and perform a Search within the site.
Google's focus now will be to direct users back to Travel and include more functionality in the company's travel application.
Soon users will be able to use Google Travel in a browser or app and find saved attractions, flights and hotels for future and past travel. In Google Maps, searching for a destination or finding specific iconic places, guide lists, events, or restaurants can be done by sliding using the site search bar.
The map application must also include your users' future reservations, arranged by trip, so that these reservations are available offline.
