Google today (30) announced Google TV, a new television system designed for the streaming era. The product promises to deliver a fast experience for watching television, even if you use multiple content platforms.
According to the company, Google TV was developed based on what the firm learned from Android TV. The new system comes with deep integration with Google Assistant and promises to deliver in-use content curation.
According to Google, the interface integrates several streaming services on the same platform, including live programming with YouTube TV. In addition to displaying Netflix, Disney+ and other services on just one screen, the platform lets you build a list of content to watch, will bring personalized recommendations and support for voice searches with Google Assistant.
The user can also control Google TV features via mobile phone or computer. In addition, the system has integration with Google Photos, which can be configured to display images on TV.
The first device with Google TV is the new Chromecast, which is already selling abroad for $49. Google promises to bring the system to more Android TV devices in the future.
