Hot Lava will bring the classic children's game to our computers next week

It was an idea that had to materialize. Of course the classic "the floor is lava" had to leave in the form of a video game. We have all made our parents nervous by jumping among the furniture, and this will not be very different. Well, maybe something more extreme.

Hot Lava has been open beta for quite some time, but it will finally reach its 1.0 version. The September 19th Steam will see its full version with several additions for the occasion, such as a new level and a renewed progression system.

Under this peculiar premise is a first person platform game quite solvent and fresh. If you miss something like Mirror's Edge, only with a rather crazier atmosphere (and washes everywhere), this is your game.

The best thing is that the game scenarios are really normal house rooms. We control some toys very similar to G.I. Joe (here they are called G.A.T .; or Global Action Team) that must make their way through the lava sea that permeates the house.

That narrative aspect is surprisingly well worked. In fact, on the occasion of the announcement of the date, they have launched a new trailer which is entirely an episode of the fictional television series of these dolls.

The game, by the way, is from Klei Entertainment, creators of Don't Starve or Mark of the Ninja.
