This time, however, Mate 30 Lite could spend much less on the sly, because according to rumors it will be the first smartphone on which the new HarmonyOS proprietary operating system will debut (at least in China).
A rumor comes from Russia which, if confirmed, is bound to create a sensation and generate expectation among enthusiasts. Wang Chenglu – president of Huawei's Consumer Business Software division – would have to colleagues from Hi-Tech that the new Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro will be officially unveiled next 19 September, in fact, a month earlier than what happened last year for the Mate 20 series.
But there is more: according to Wang Chenglu, Huawei's new top-of-the-line smartphones will integrate a chip of new generation, which will be called Kirin 990. For many months there have been rumors about the SoC destined for the Mate 30 series, but so far there was talk of Kirin 985. It will be curious to see if this name change is due solely to marketing reasons, or if something more substantial it is boiling in the pot.

Confirmed then that the Mate 30 series will mark the debut of the newly unveiled EMUI 10, based directly on Android 10 Q. However, due to the game still open on ban USA inflicted on Huawei, there should be no pre-installed Google services. Here, then, that this time, Mate 30 Lite could assume a resonance close, if not equal, to that of the older brothers, given that it could be the first smartphone ever to be equipped with HarmonyOS, although probably only in China. So much meat on the fire and curiosity is already sky-high.
