Earlier this month, Huawei began recruiting users willing to take part in the internal beta test for the upcoming update to EMUI 10 on P30 and P30 Pro. Now, these terminals are joined by eight more.
EMUI 10 Beta on 8 other phones
A report has just revealed that the Chinese manufacturer has started the next round of beta testers for eight other smartphones, namely: Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X, Mate 20 RS Porsche Design, Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro, Honor View 20 and Honor Magic 2. If all goes as planned, these 8 devices are expected to receive the EMUI 10 update stable in December.
Currently, the internal test is only open to Chinese users. However, Huawei could launch a program in the future global recruitment for the phones mentioned above. We recall, in fact, that a search for tester users was launched globally a few days after P30 and P30 Pro had started recruitment in China.
Huawei's internal beta testing program essentially allows users to experience the unpublished updates to EMUI 10 and, in turn, to provide useful feedback to developers, such as bug reports.
This step is fundamental for the overall user experience: it helps to ensure that the official update, which is being implemented, is bug-free and able to work without problems on the device.
The new edition of the user interface based on Android Q, like HarmonyOS, was designed to be multi-faceted. The new operating system aims to simplify the interaction between smartphones and other devices such as smart screens, car tools and systems and above all the PC, bearing in mind that in this sense Samsung is already in action with his Galaxy Note10. Among the key features that will come with EMUI 10 we report, therefore, the renewed user interface, the dark mode, faster performance, multi-screen collaboration and Huawei HiCar.
