Earlier this month, Huawei hinted that it plans to sell 20 million Honor 9X smartphones. It may sound like a high order, but we're talking about Huawei. The company knows how to beat aesthetically beautiful designs, sturdy equipment and modest prices for smartphones. The Honor 9X and 9X Pro are examples of such sleek Huawei phones, but only 9X is currently on sale. Thus, it is not surprising that the new premium middle-class company creates stunning records.
It was reported yesterday that the company claimed to have sold 100,000 units of the Honor 9X in the first two minutes of its sales. The honor came out to show that 300,000 9X units were shipped on the first day of its sales. We want to believe that this figure reflects the available stock, since there could be more orders.
This sales record put the Honor on a good stand to equal or even surpass the record set last year by the Honor 8X, which sold 10 million devices in just 173 days. The period when the 9X sold 100,000 units is twice as fast as the time used by the Honor 8X. Thus, another record holder awaits us.
However, this will not be a big surprise, given that smartphones have high-end features. According to its characteristics, the device is equipped with the latest Kirin 810 chipset, built on 7 nm technology, a main 48-megapixel camera and a huge 6.59-inch LCD screen with Full HD + resolution.
The 9X also comes with a 4000 mAh battery and costs between 1399 yuan ($ 203) for the 4 GB + 64 GB version, which is sold in black or blue. The release of the Honor 9X Pro is scheduled for August 9th. We expect nothing but record sales.
