Along with the Mate 30 Pro smartphones, at an event in Germany, Huawei also introduced a new generation of smart watches, the Huawei Watch GT 2.
The wearable device comes with a new processor, has increased battery life, new sports modes and other improvements.
Huawei Watch GT 2 comes in two different sizes and styles. The first option has a large 46 mm case, which is very similar to the original Watch GT. The novelty has a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 454 × 454 pixels.
The second option with a 42 mm case is very similar to Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 with a curved dial and a thin metal frame. The younger version is equipped with a 1.2-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 390 × 390 pixels.
The performance of the Huawei Watch GT 2 is provided by the new Kirin A1 processor, which debuted in the FreeBuds 3 headphones. The watch supports 15 sports modes, 10 of which are for running only.
The device also has special sensors that allow you to record the heart rate, track the user's sleep and other indicators. In addition, the gadget is able to receive calls from a smartphone at a distance of up to 150 meters. The battery life of the older version reaches 14 days, for the youngest – 7 days with GPS enabled and heart rate tracking.
On sale, Huawei Watch GT 2 will appear from October this year. The cost of the 42 mm version is € 229, the 46 mm model will cost € 249.
