In the fair IFA Some companies took the opportunity to present their new phone models. While the Mobile World Congress is usually the quintessential event for these types of ads, some brands choose to launch their novelties in this technology exhibition that takes place in Berlin.
Samsung, for example, took advantage of its press conference to present a version of its foldable phone, the Galaxy Fold. The mobile still has a screen of 4.6 inches outside, and an extended panel of 7.3 ″, in addition to six cameras. The technical specifications are also the same (Snapdragon 855, 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage), except for some improvements that, according to the company, were introduced in the software to allow the user to take better advantage of the folding screen.
The difference of this version with the previous one can be seen in the edges of the protection that were extended and in a better termination in the hinge. In turn, the company incorporated layers of metal under the display to add resistance to the equipment.
Samsung forward that the Galaxy Fold (the folding version) will be available in the colors "Cosmos Black" and "Space Silver" from September 18 this year in France, Germany, Singapore and the United Kingdom, followed by the launch in the United States. There will also be a version for 5G connectivity in some markets.
Nokia, meanwhile, announced five new phones, including the Nokia 7.2, a mid-range with 4G of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage, triple camera of 48 MP and ZEISS optics that will sell from USD 349 and be available from the end of September.
The company also expanded its portfolio of features incoming phones with the Nokia 800 Tough, a mobile resistant to falls that will be sold from October to 109 euros; the Nokia 2720 Flip, which will be sold at 89 euros from the end of the month and the Nokia 110, which will be available from October to 20 dollars.
