Intel has seen how in benchmarking software SiSoftware Sandra It has been seen its next release, a processor Intel Xeon-W for its high performance platform (HEDT) based on the chipset Intel C621 next to the socket LGA3647 which will try to compete with the new AMD Ryzen Threadripper.
This processor will feature 26 cores and 52 processing threads at a Turbo frequency of at least 4.10 GHz, although the maximum frequency reported by the benchmark is not reliable. Just below we have a Xeon W-3175X which reaches a Turbo frequency of 3.80 GHz but the benchmark marks 4.40 GHz. In addition to the frequency, the CPU has 35.75 MB of level 3 cache (L3) along with 26 MB of L2 cache.
The processor was tested on the Asus top-of-the-range motherboard for that market, and this is none other than the Asus ROG Dominus Extreme, one of the few motherboards in the enthusiastic range for this socket. The rest of manufacturers that offer a similar motherboard in benefits are Gigabyte AORUS and EVGA.
