LineageOS is the ROM of choice for anyone who wants to abandon Android versions from manufacturers. It is optimized for each of the devices you run on and is prepared to offer the most to users,
Many are the brands and models that are supported, many of them are already end of life and abandoned by the brands. The latest LineageOS 16 test build now brings something new. Also OnePlus 6T and 7 Pro are now supported.
Great news for LineageOS offer
Over the years, LineageOS has been able to bring new life to many smartphones. These are no longer supported by the brands and thus receive this custom ROM and adapted to these devices. Support exists and updates are constant.
It is normal for this ROM to be extended to new equipment, showing that the teams of developers are committed to making it grow. The new versions always bring news, looking at what the project AOSP brings and everything that is developed in the meantime.
The latest build of LineageOS 16, one nightly, brought support for new equipment. We talk about OnePlus 6T and 7 Plus. These are recent models of the Chinese brand and were so far off the list of equipment that could use this ROM.
OnePlus is now well represented in this ROM
Like any other supported equipment on LineageOS, the new models have names as well. So the OnePlus 6T has the name fajita and the 7 Pro got the designation Guacamole. The job of supporting these 2 smartphones was done by LuK1337, PeterCxy, and Tortel. Both are receiving new builds based on LineageOS 16 (Android 9 Pie).
Not surprisingly, these devices are only now supported by this ROM. With OxygenOS keeping a record of constant news, interest in this ROM will still be marginal in these smartphones. Still, anyone who wants an even cleaner experience can and should choose this new proposal.
It is also important to see these new high end equipment arrive at LineageOS. The offer is thus more varied and raises more interest in this ROM, which is constantly reinventing itself and improving.
