Motorola has announced a new entry-level phone for the North American market. The Moto E6 is a budget phone with a new design, a replaceable battery and an aging processor.
The Moto E6 still has thick bezels surrounding its 5.5-inch HD + Max Vision display (yes, it's smaller now), although the forehead is not as thick as the chin. In front of the camera is 5MP. He turned off the LED flash of his predecessor and replaced it with Screen Flash. The Motorola brand is still on the bottom.
The back is where the main difference is. Gone are those round camera housings that made it easy to identify Motorola devices. Instead, the camera is now in the upper left corner of the phone. This is a 13 megapixel sensor with an aperture of f / 2.0 and a pixel size of 1.12 microns. It also has a PDAF, and there is an LED flash below the sensor. The Moto E6 is also the first Moto E phone with features such as Spot Color and Portrait Mode (for both cameras).
Moto E6 has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of memory (expandable up to 256 GB maximum) and is equipped with a Snapdragon 435 processor. This is a processor released back in early 2016. It is also built on an old 28nm node. To make matters worse, Motorola has also reduced battery capacity from 4,000 to 3,000 mAh. Thus, you have a smaller battery and a processor that is far from efficient. A Snapdragon 429 or even MediaTek Helio P22 or Helio A22 media would be the best choice.
The battery is removable and charges via the MicroUSB port (5W charger). The phone also has an FM radio, a water-repellent P2i nanocover, an audio jack, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. It runs Android Pie and will be available in Starry Black and Navy Blue.
Moto E6 has a starting price of $ 149.99. Motorola says it will be available in the US starting today at Verizon. It will also be available for T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, US Cellular, Consumer Cellular and Xfinity Mobile. It will also be available to all users on Amazon.com, Best Buy, B&H Photo and Walmart. It will also be available in Canada.
