Netflix has been working on some new productions involving the game franchise resident Evil. In late August, the streaming service confirmed the development of a live-action series and has now released the first teaser of the new animated series Resident Evil: In the Absolute Dark (Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness).

About Resident Evil: In the Absolute Dark
Resident Evil: In the Absolute Dark will be released three years after the 2017 CG film, Resident Evil: Vendetta.
The new series is produced by Hiroyuki Kobayashi, from Capcom — the game’s developer company — and TMS Entertainment, which gave rise to several anime series — as Bakugan and Hamtaro.
Quebico Studio, led by Kei Miyamoto — producer of Resident Evil: Vendetta —, will be responsible for producing the CG animation.
Still without much information about the plot of the series, Netflix defines Resident Evil: In the Absolute Dark as a horror series with a sci-fi twist, and will be based on the story of Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, two of the most famous characters in the franchise.
Resident Evil: In the Absolute Dark debuts on the Netflix platform only in 2021.
