Redmi is one of Xiaomi’s most popular brands in the industry. smartphones, but also operates in the notebook segment. The company recently introduced the Redmi G, a gamer laptop with a 144 Hz screen that supports the sub-brand’s philosophy of delivering products at a competitive price.

Xiaomi will sell the Redmi G with Intel Core i5-10200H processor, GTX 1650 and 60 Hz screen in its basic version. The more powerful edition will feature the i7-10750H CPU working with the GTX 1650 Ti, in addition to the 144 Hz display.

Both models have a 55W battery, which promises to deliver about 5.5 hours of use out of the socket. The products also come with a 512GB SSD for storage and 16GB of DDR4 RAM with a clock rate of 2933Mhz.

Price and availability

The Redmi G is now available on pre-order in China and starts reaching consumers on August 18th. The product maintains the high cost standard of gaming notebooks, but brings competitive values ​​to the category.

The basic edition of the notebook is available for 5,299 yuan, about R$4,000 in direct conversion. The intermediate version, with i5-10200H CPU and 144 Hz screen, sells for 6,299 yuan, approximately R$4.8 thousand.
