48 MP for one, 64 MP for the other
Both the Redmi Note 8 as the Redmi Note 8 Pro feature a four lens main camera, although there are important differences in this regard, and not only in terms of megapixels. To start, the arrangement: in the Redmi Note 8 the camera module is on the left side, while in the Redmi Note 8 Pro the camera is still arranged vertically, but now centered.
The star is obviously Redmi's camera Note 8 Pro and its 64 megapixels in the main sensor, but the truth is that the standard version is not short of potential. Thus, the Redmi Note 8 It has a main sensor of 48 MP, a wide angle of 8 MP, a depth sensor of 2 MP and a macro of 2 MP.
As for the Redmi Note 8 Pro, we have a 64 MP main sensor with the Samsung GW1 sensor with which you can take photos with a maximum resolution of 9248 x 6936 pixels. The rest of the lenses remain the same in both models: an 8 MP angle, 2 MP depth calculation and a 2 MP macro lens.
As for the selfies triggers, there are also differences. The Redmi Note 8 has a camera for selfies of 13 MP, while in the Redmi Note 8 Pro is 20 MP. Both are in the drop-shaped notch mounted on the 6.3 and 6.53-inch screen, respectively.
Me with Qualcomm and you with MediaTek
Xiaomi had already taken care of warning us of what we should expect regarding Redmi processors Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro: one of them has a Qualcomm Snapdragon and the other with the new Helio G90T from MediaTek.
Although we would have traditionally thought that the most powerful model would mount the Snapdragon and the most modest the MediaTek, in this case we have the just inverse case. The Redmi Note 8 mount the Snapdragon 665 11 nm while the Redmi Note 8 Pro opens the first MediaTek gaming chipset, the new 12 nm Helio G90T and with various optimizations for games under the umbrella of what the company calls MediaTek HyperEngine.
Something that Redmi agree on so much Note 8 as the Redmi Note 8 Pro is in its battery. The Pro model has a larger capacity battery, but the truth is that both models are well stocked: 4,000 mAh for the Redmi Note 8 and 4,500 mAh for the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Both compatible with fast 18W charging and with USB-C connector.
