Xiaomi already unveiled its Redmi series Note 8 today and as expected this series is formed, so far, by Redmi phones Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. The non-Pro variant comes with a Snapdragon 665 chipset. But the Redmi Note 8 Pro equips with the latest MediaTek Helio G90T chipset for mobile games. Redmi promised good performance on the phone with this chipset, and this seems to confirm the results of AnTuTu.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro with Helio G90T obtained an excellent total result of 282,443 points in AnTuTu. Only the CPU scored 96,805 points, while the remaining points is a combination of GPU, memory and UX performance. The G90T is the most powerful variant of the Helio G90 series.
The Helio G90T SoC is an eight-core chip with a clock speed of 2.05Ghz. Its graphics power comes thanks to the inclusion of a Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU. Comparing the benchmarks obtained in the AnTuTu portal we find that G90T outperforms its direct rivals Kirin 810 and the Snadragon 730. However, this chipset is not as efficient in energy saving as any of the 10nm or 7nm chips, but To be a chipset in the field of 12nm, it offers good handling in energy saving.
However, we must take these results with some doubts, since the numbers offered in the tests can be easily manipulated, so we will have to wait until next month until we can have the Redmi Note 8 Pro in our hands, to verify that this new phone offers us. (Source)
