THE'IFA 2019 is almost upon us, the doors of the largest European consumer electronics fair will open on September 6th in Berlin and close on the 11th of the same month. An appointment that promises to be full of news, even at home ASUS. Among the innovations that the Taiwanese company has announced in Germany is the long awaited global version of the ROG Phone II (Ultimate Edition) and the introduction of smartwatches Vivowatch SP.
ASUS ROG Phone II becomes global
At the conference held in Berlin in view of the opening of the IFA 2019, ASUS revealed that its latest gem dedicated to mobile gaming presented last July, the ROG Phone II, will now also be released in a global version. The device will also come to us at a price of 899 euros for the version with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage space of type UFS 3.0. This is the Elite Edition presented in July. Globally the features double to 1 Terabyte with the "Ultimate Edition" from 1,199 euros.
Among the strengths of this gaming phone is the chipset Snapdragon 855+ with clock speed of 2.96GHz and 10-bit HDR screen with refresh rate from 120Hz / 1ms and a remarkable chromatic fidelity. As for the rest of the features, the ROG Phone 2 has a panel AMOLED 6.59 ", the fingerprint scanner is located below the display. For an optimal gaming experience, the screen is accompanied by two DTS speakers. The photographic sector consists of a main camera from 48 MP and a 13 MP wide-angle lens.
The battery is well 6000 mAh with 30W Hypercharge power supply. From the design point of view, the back keeps the original design of the first ROG phone. The global version is enriched with one new Matte Black shade.
ASUS Vivowatch SP
THE Vivowatch SP will be equipped among other things of ECG and PPG sensors that keep track of blood pressure and stress levels to help owners maintain a state of well-being, as well as GPS and an altimeter that can guarantee more precise training data, even when you are in areas with poor coverage. Also ASUS present HealthAI which helps maintain a state of optimal form based on one's own statistics and habits.
To adapt to all sports activities, the watch is waterproof up to 5 ATM (50 meters deep). The ceramic bezel reduces fingerprints and adapts to any style thanks to the interchangeable bands. The company promises one non-stop duration of 14 days, probably in energy saving conditions. The arrival on the market of the Vivowatch SP is expected by the end of 2019, but prices have not yet been revealed.
