Samsung announces notebook Galaxy Book S with Snapdragon 8cx processor

In addition to Galaxy Note 10, Samsung brought other news to Unpacked, including the new Galaxy Book S with Snapdragon 8cx processor

Announced during the Unpacked 2019 together with the Galaxy Note 10, the Galaxy Book S is the new bet of Samsung in the ultra lightweight notebook market that comes equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8cx processor.


O Snapdragon 8cx it's a 7 nanometer chip designed for PCs, and the Samsung says this version of Galaxy Book S should have 40% more CPU performance, 80% higher graphics performance, and more memory bandwidth compared to Galaxy Book 2.

O Snapdragon 8cx had been announced during Computex 2019 earlier this year and features 8 cores Kryo 495 with a GPU Adreno 680. The promise of Qualcomm is to hit head on with the Intel Core i5 U line, and at the time even released a video demonstrating the superiority of his chipset.

According to Samsung, O Galaxy Book S supports Gigabit LTE, instant wake, digital player, and Bluetooth 5.0. It comes equipped with a Full HD screen. 13.3-inch TFT with up to 10-point multitouch support.

In addition to Snapdragon 8cx, O Galaxy Book S comes equipped with 8 GB of RAM in LPDDR4X format. On the storage side, it will come in 256GB or 512GB versions, with up to 1TB MicroSD card support.

The big news behind this handset is its battery life, where the Samsung It guarantees up to 23 hours of autonomy, as well as 42Wh fast charging.

O Galaxy Book S will be available from $ 999 in September in the international market. There is no official information about the sale in Brazil yet.
