Samsung could launch Galaxy Fold in Korea on September 6


Samsung folding phones that are often late may finally be ready for primetime.

According to South Korean outlet Yonhap News (via SamMobile), the company is preparing to launch Galaxy Fold in Korea on September 6


This date is interesting, because it is the same day that the IFA fair in Berlin officially begins, although there is still no news if Samsung will officially launch Fold there

A few months ago, Samsung said it had fixed the FoldM issues and promised a launch in September, but the company did not disclose the exact date.

Than Fold, a smartphone that is robust and foldable to the best of specifications, was originally scheduled for release in April, but was delayed multiple times because initial reviewers noted that the device was highly vulnerable to damage.

In July, Samsung announced that it had identified and corrected all of the issues that were disrupting the fold. Enhancements include reinforcements to keep particles out of the device, reinforced hinges that are closer to the cell phone's body, an additional metal layer under the screen, and an extended protective layer, making it more difficult to peel off.
