Samsung introduced this year a new line of smartphones for emerging markets. The Galaxy M were an absolute debut in 2019 and after their success in markets like India, it's time to look at their successors.
Thanks to the well-known Sudhanshu Ambhore, we have the first information about the designation and specifications of the upcoming Galaxy M. Firstly, it can be seen that these input ranges will follow the footsteps of the Galaxy A with regard to their nomenclatures.
Like the mid-ranges of South Korea, so do the Galaxy M will use an incremental designation. This means that by 2020 we will get to know the Galaxy M21, Galaxy M31 and Galaxy M41. This, as I said earlier, will lead to greater consistency in Samsung's portfolio.
The same source also took the opportunity to let us know some of the specifications of the new models. You can see that these models will be entitled to more up-to-date processors and some improvements to your photographic department.
Samsung Specifications Galaxy M21
- Exynos 9609 Processor
- 4GB RAM
- 24MP + 5MP rear camera (depth lens)
Samsung Specifications Galaxy M31
- Snapdragon 665 Processor
- 6GB of RAM
- 48MP + 12MP rear camera (wide angle) + 5MP (depth lens)
Samsung Specifications Galaxy M41
- Exynos 9630 Processor
- 6GB of RAM
- 64MP + 12MP rear camera (wide angle) + 5MP (depth lens)
In addition to the noticeable improvements in cameras, we must note that processors will also be improved. We look in particular at the Galaxy M41 and its Exynos 9630 processor that hasn't even been announced yet.
This should be the predominant processor in Samsung's mid-range by 2020, so it should offer very acceptable performance. Especially if we take into account the segment in which the M41 will be inserted.
More information about the new Galaxy M will surely emerge in the coming months. The first models should be unveiled early next year.
