Schenker Technologies not only presents an even faster version of the XMG Neo 17 with GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q at Gamescom, but also gives a preview of a new slim gaming notebook of the XMG family in 15.6-inch format. Local visitors should be able to take a look at the new series for the first time.

The curtain for a new (XMG) Slim notebook drops – partly

In the press release for the show, Schenker is still shrouding the 15.6-inch notebook line that will be on display at Ubisoft's GSA Nationals 2019 on Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. However, visitors to the event are invited to have a look at the comparatively flat (player) notebook with XMG genes, which has a size of 356 × 234 × 20 mm (W × D × H) before the official market launch in mid-September. Interested parties should also have the opportunity to test the notebook extensively.

With 94 Wh battery only a weight of 1.85 kg

According to Schenker, the new slim model weighs only 1.85 kilograms and offers a rechargeable battery that is 94 watts long for the device class. At 2.5 kilograms for a player notebook with potent hardware comparatively light XMG Neo 17 has built an energy storage with only 46 watt-hours. The case uses an AZ91D magnesium alloy and features an RGB-backlit opto-mechanical keyboard and silent switches, already installed in Schenker's XMG Neo family. Further technical details do not exist yet. The result is the new slim notebook in cooperation with Intel.

XMG Neo 17 receives top-of-the-range Turing RTX 2080 Max-Q

It becomes even more technically more concrete: The Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q is now the new fastest GPU for the gaming notebook XMG Neo 17 with 17.3-inch 144 Hz display and Intel Core i7-9750H to select. Previously, the mobile GeForce RTX 2070 was over. At the end of September the first orders should be delivered.

The XMG Neo 17 starts in the standard configuration at 1,449 euros. The surcharge compared to the base with mobile GeForce GTX 1660 Ti estimated Schenker with 895 euros. The already available GeForce RTX 2070 costs 431 euros extra.
