Speedtest has released a report with the data obtained with its technology Speedtest intelligence which examines the download speeds of mobile networks to see which Latin American countries are faster and who have also been improving their network.
This technology has also analyzed which operator offers better access to the 4G network, who offers the best coverage, among other details. So we leave you below with the data delivered by Speedtest.
Latin American countries improved speed
Offering the highest download speed is a great challenge for any mobile operator. However, it seems that our neighbors of Peru knew how to optimize its mobile networks very well, since they have won first place as the Latin American country that offers the fastest mobile speeds of the first quarter of 2019.
Fastest mobile phone operator in each country
If we previously knew the country that offered the highest speed, it is now the turn to know the mobile operator that is offering the highest speed, and the operator chosen this time was the operator Sure in Brazil, reaching a Speed Core of 29.48.
The second place is followed by the operator Sure in Peru with 28.43 Speed Core, while in the third place we see the operator Telcel in Mexico with 26.20, followed by the fourth place that occupies it Sure in Chile with 23.53.
4G network availability
But to offer high speed, a 4G network is also needed. For this reason, we will now know which country offers the greatest availability of this mobile network according to the data obtained by Speedtest.
And in this category our country Chile takes first place with 99.7% overall availability, while Colombia took second place with 99.3%, Y Peru takes third place with 99.2%.
Operator with better mobile coverage
Speedtest has also revealed the operator that offers the best mobile coverage in your country and has given you a score that they call you Coverage Score.
In this section the first place was taken by the operator Telcel in Mexico, a subsidiary of América Móvil who obtained 816 Coverage Score during the first quarter of 2019. While the last place was obtained by the operator Vivo from Brazil with 547 points, subsidiary of Telefónica.
