Before the arrival of the Model Y which will be unveiled on March 14, the Tesla Model 3 is the latest in the range of the American manufacturer. Available in Europe in two versions, Battery Large Autonomy and Performance, the range will soon be completed by the much awaited “basic” model at 35,000 dollars in the USA, followed by Europe, even if we do not yet know what will be its price in euros.
After a first test and trial of the Tesla Mode 3 carried out in a car in the Tesla France press park, which gave us the honor of a first a few weeks ago, here are our impressions after three weeks of everyday use with the most posh version of the range, namely the Model 3 Performance equipped with the improved Autopilot option. At the time of the shooting of this video I had already carried out nearly a thousand kilometers at the wheel of this car, in various conditions (temperate, cold weather, road, highway, city, peri-urban and even a hook in the mountains in Mégève) , and I think I’m getting to know the basics, and even most of the details and subtleties.
We used to say about Tesla that they are real computers on wheels, which implies that it takes time to master all the features, but I reassure you, everything is simple and intuitive, and thought with optimal ergonomics. And it’s not just that. A Tesla is also (and above all) a car, and what a car! Outstanding performance, a chassis whose rigor and precision have nothing to envy to the best German references, and a driving pleasure that places the Model 3 at the top of the hierarchy of pleasure cars.
