Tropic is one of those classic games that was overshadowed by one of the greats of its genre, which in turn became one of the usual titles. A management and construction game overshadowed by Sim City but that already stood out for its playability, its possibilities and, above all, for its particular sense of humor.
The game was born there in 2001 by the hand of PopTop Software and put us in the situation of the absolute manager of a Caribbean island with no part of criticism and political satire. The game reached its fifth generation in 2014 and for some time it has also moved through the mobile terrain. It is the third version of this, Tropic 3, which now comes to Android. And we can register to anticipate his release.
Classic style: no shopping inside or advertising
Tropic already existed in iOS, both for iPhone and iPad, and now Feral Interactive has announced that the game will also come to Android without losing an iota of the appeal of the original game, although now adapted to the playability for mobile phones. The title will come to Android on September 5 but we can register to be the first to try it.
In Tropic we will be again the President of a fictional Caribbean island and we will have to take care of urban and commercial development, besides taking into account that we have to please the population so as not to cause a revolt. In addition to this we will have to manage so that the seven political factions of the island do not engage in battles with each other, in addition to maintaining relations with external powers.
As we said, the game will reach the Google Play Store next September 5 and, unfortunately, it will not be a free version financed with purchases or advertising, nor will it be cheap. The advertised price is 11.99 euros and although it must be compatible with all phones, the developers have published a list of "recommended" phones to play it. They are the following:
