Earlier this week a new Sony patent emerged, with a design of an unnamed device. Many believed that this was the final design of the console, but a Senior Codemasters artist, Matthew Stott, confirmed in his Twitter that the filtered design is from the PlayStation 5 development kit. He also suggested that it could be the final design of the console. To add more mystery to all this, Stott deleted the tweet shortly after posting it.
While Microsoft has already formalized Project Scarlett, Sony still did not talk about its next console. This could happen in February, according to rumors, when Sony makes a new PlayStation Meeting, where it would show both the console and the games in development for it. The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima would also be at the event.
For now, the only thing that is officially known about the PlayStation 5 is that its CPU will be based on the third generation of AMD Ryzen, and the GPU will support ray tracing.
What do you think of this possible PlayStation 5 design?
