A series of news will arrive very soon Android Q. This was revealed on Tuesday by a recognized googler, pointing out a series of changes for gesture navigation of this platform in its Beta 5.
After the release of this version of the operating system, Google modified a series of classic navigation gestures for Android. For example, the option to go backwards or back gesture, with a lateral movement similar to the classic one to access the navigation menus.
Chris Banes, of the department of relationship with Android developers, public in his account Twitter a new navigation system that will avoid confusion between both gestures.
Now, instead of just swiping to enter the navigation menu, users should keep their finger pressed briefly on the side, to preview the panel, and finally to open it with the movement gesture to the side.
This is a less fluid movement than the one initially presented, but does not require special interaction from the developer, since it works in all applications including those with older versions of DrawerLayout.
This navigation system had been one of the most criticized points in the previous beta releases of Android Q, so a good reception is expected within its version 5.
