The National Electoral Directorate conducted an internal test of the provisional scrutiny system on the premises of the Argentine Post on Saturday with a view to the general elections of October 27.
The test, in which the Smartmatic company showed the changes that it introduced to correct the failure registered in the elections STEP of August 11, was made with the presence of judicial veterans, the National Electoral Directorate reported in a statement.
The trial began at 10.00 in two post offices and "101,518 telegrams were digitized and totaled normally, corresponding to the same number of tables that will be enabled on election day," the court said.
"With the presence of the designated judicial observers, the improvements introduced to the prosecution and control system were incorporated into the test," said the Electoral Directorate.
The test was carried out at the headquarters of Barracas and Monte Grande del Correo Argentino, where more than 1,600 people worked on the telegrams and was supervised by the Secretary of Political Affairs of the Ministry of Interior, Public Works and Housing, Adrián Pérez; the national electoral director, Rodrigo Conte Grand; and the director of Electoral Services of Correo Argentino, Adrián González.
The National Electoral Directorate said that after the trial internal tests will continue. On October 5 there will be another, for which it will convene "the integral drill open to journalists and political parties".
