It is easy to think that on the issue of electricity consumption, the price of kilowatt / hour remains stable all day. But it is not so, in fact the same is not paid for Kw / h all day, but the price varies every hour, fluctuating from one price to another. Today for example at 2 pm the price was € 0.1061 / kWh, while at 8 pm it rose at € 0.1113. The cost of the Light moves from one value to another, increasing in the hours in which people consume more electricity and decreasing in the parts of the day in which less use is made of light in homes and businesses.
There is an app called Price of the Light for smartphones Android that allows us know in real time the cost of electric energy that we consume at home or at work and that will also automatically notify us of the times when the light is cheaper, so that saving is a little easier for us.
When does the kWh cost the most
With a very simple interface, when you open the app a list appears divided by hours It covers the whole day, and next to it the price in euros of kilowatts per hour. The color code in the left bar next to each hour is the key, since in red mark what time it is more expensive light consumption, and in Green at what time is cheaper. In this way you can plan a consumption plan and know when it is better to plug the stove or the heater for the bathroom, and when it is better to wait to turn on the air conditioning, kitchen and washing machine at the same time.
The best thing is that if you swipe the screen to the right you will get the list of consumer prices for the next day (which are usually established after 8 in the afternoon). We can choose the time window and the number of notices we want to receive and the application will notify us of the rates that best suit our schedule.
