While most editions of this genre take advantage of a lazy reuse of an entry-level model, by changing the packaging and a few colors, the three models EVATW01, EVATW02 and EVATW06 are refined from A to Z.
For those who do not follow the audio market with interest, the Japanese brand Final Audio remains relatively unknown. However, this manufacturer of headsets and earphones is a specialist in the field, offering models sometimes very high-end. Something that has not escaped the franchisees Evangelion, proposing to the brand to work on a series of True Wireless to celebrate the now somewhat upset release of the film Evangelion 4.0.
A real design for the occasion
We thus find three deeply designed products Mecha, dedicated to Evangelion EVA-01, EVA-02 and Mark.06 respectively. The two-color headphones use the small central area as a control button.
And if the headphones already have the little touch of the anime, the charging boxes pushes the reference even further.
A high-end technical sheet
Final Audio took care of the presentation, but not only. Its technical sheet places the product among the very good models on the market. Based on a Bluetooth 5.0 Qualcomm 3020 chip with support for the AptX codec, the three EVATWs use a dynamic proprietary transducer of the brand with ultra-thin membrane and brass winding.
The headphones’ autonomy can reach nine hours with a single charge (in AAC and SBC – the autonomy increases to six hours with the AptX), and up to 63 hours when the case is charged. Charging goes through USB-C.
However, for the misfortune of French-speaking fans, it will most likely have to go through importation to get one of the three models. Their price? 19,800 Yen, or about 170 euros. Headphones quite expensive then, but a completely honest proposal in terms of the reputation of Final Audio and the work done on the product.
