Last year it was common to see war games add their own battle royale mode. Although this seemed to be over, World of Tanks developer Wargaming announced this limited mode.
The studio announced its new last man standing mode, Steel Hunter. The new mode trailer shows a fast and action-packed gameplay, something different for the traditional World of Tanks modes.
Probably most know the rules: in Steel Hunter, 20 tanks (or 21 if you play in teams of 3), they will choose a place to appear in Dreamland, a new urban map designed specifically for this mode. As the game progresses, the playing area will decrease, and Danger Zones will appear for players to meet. When you take down opponents, you will get Battle XP, allowing you to level up your tank thanks to a technology tree.
Throughout Dreamland there is distributed stationary loot or repair modules so that players have more chances to win. There will also be skills that players can use to have an advantage, such as smoke screens or airstrikes.
To help balance the playing field, Steel Hunter offers three special tanks (from the USSR, the United States and Germany.) As the event progresses, players can obtain new stickers, styles, credits, bonuses and even free account access Premium
This mode will not be available forever, since Steel Hunter will begin next week, from August 26, until September 16.
