Apple announces that WatchKit will be available in November for all developers
During this afternoon's event Apple has had room to talk about Apple Watch, his next big bet and his entry into the smartwatch market.
Tim Cook has made a short summary about the features of the device, saying that it is the most personal device they have ever created and also announcing that they have been working privately with some app developers for some time.
But the company didn't just limit itself to a summary of what we had seen before, Tim Cook announced the availability of WatchKit, the API for developers to create their own apps for the Apple Watch.
The company has not given an exact date of API launch, but have reported that it will be available from November, that is, starting sometime next month.
Thanks to WatchKit, developers can start developing apps for the Watch
This API will allow developers to start creating their first apps and so, when the device is available in early 2015, the App Store can have a good number of applications ready to be used in the first wearable of Apple.
Apple has not given more information about Watchkit, although we are really satisfied with knowing that it will be available months before the launch of the device, since this will allow that when the final launch takes place many developers will have their first apps ready and the device will be much more interesting thanks to them.
It seems that the developers will have enough work from next month. Creating apps for a completely new device and different from what we are used to should not be easy and with him Apple Watch They have a great challenge at hand, although at the same time a great opportunity to get a good market share in this new device.
Aren't you wishing the Apple Watch did i get to the stores? We are dying to lay hands on you.
