Waze still extends the long list of music players – and not only – integrated within its homonymous satellite navigation application. From today it is possible to listen YouTube Music even while driving, in complete safety.
YouTube Music within Waze
The partnership has just been officially announced and indeed we would have expected it to arrive even earlier, considering that both are owned by Google. Lawrence Kennedy, Product Manager of YouTube Music commented on the new partnership:
“We know that our users love to listen to the contents of YouTube Music when I'm in the car, so working with Waze will make driving and listening to music an even better experience. By making albums, playlists and mixes available on the navigation app YouTube Music, our users will be able to enjoy their content without having to miss a turn. "
The novelty will be used exclusively by subscribers premium to the streaming music service offered by YouTube Music. The functionality is already in rollout and will reach all users globally within a couple of weeks.
As anticipated in the opening, it is certainly not the first player that is integrated into the navigation system, the list is already quite long. To cheer the leadership of over 115 million users there are already exceptional partners such as: Deezer, iHeartRadio, NPR, Pandora, Scribd, Stitcher and TuneIn, Spotify, Audiobooks.com, Radio.com, Castbox and NRJ Radio.
