We have been dealing with the tab for several years WhatsApp states. This section collects ephemeral content similar to what we see in the stories of Instagram or of Facebook. It is a function that is rarely used in western countries and that bothers more than anything else. For years users have asked for power hide this section of ‘States’ that appears in the middle of the application, something that is not possible and probably will not be in the future. Today we have good news for all users who use, even a little, this section of ephemeral content.
The beta version of WhatsApp has been updated leaving us with a novelty in the WhatsApp states. It is nothing intrusive, but quite the opposite. Help keep the tab free of the content you don't want to see. For this you will not have to block a person, just silence it. Yes, now this mute option is of some use.
WhatsApp states now hide silenced
WABetaInfo has published today that the new WhatsApp beta arrives with a new section within the status tab. For some time now the states can be silenced, although this action does not remove those states from the pending list. Now this will happen so that your list of states to see is only the one that interests you. Silence now is of use!
This new section is located just below the last state you have pending to see. If you click on this bar you will see all the states that you have silenced, with the possibility of seeing them or taking away this silence. The person who publishes them will not know that you have performed this action, so you should not worry about anything and silence anyone you think is convenient.
If you use the status tab to see only the publications of a few contacts, this news will come in handy. At the moment it is only available in the WhatsApp beta, but it is expected to reach the stable version shortly. If you want to upgrade to beta you can do it with this tutorial that we left you a while ago.
