Surely in some conversation you used the emoji hands together to express that you are praying, or asking for something to come true. But in reality this WhatsApp emoji has another expression and it is not what we all believed.

  

WhastApp has to choose around 1500 on its platform emoji. In each one we find a feeling that we want to express at that moment, such as: being asleep, tired, cold, I'm going to sleep, etc., with just a little yellow face.

But there are also others that need an interpretation or an explanation. It is the case of the hands together that many assure that it is to “pray”.

Emojipedia, the Unicode website that is responsible for creating the emoji, indicates that "hands together" really mean a sign to say "thank you" or "please." Nowhere does it refer to “pray”, now you will be able to use it in the right way.

Pleded Hands, its name in English was approved as part of Unicode 6.0 in 2010 under the name of "Person with folded hands" and was added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.

According to Unicode these new emoji They were chosen after their Emojis Subcommittee "analyzed thousands of proposals submitted by users" worldwide and determined the reasons why they had to be included in the final list.
