WhatsApp starts enabling VoIP calls to some of its users
We already know that WhatsApp is the ultimate cross-platform instant messaging service, however, This application does not have VoIP calls, something that has allowed the competition to be able to take a large number of users, at least so far.
WhatsApp VoIP calls will be activated stepwise
Last year WhatsApp announced that throughout 2014 it would arrive as expected feature to the messaging application, the possibility of making VoiP calls between users of the app, but at the end of the year the company's CEO said that it would not arrive until at least the beginning of 2015.
The first month of 2015 has already passed and it seems that the first signs of this functionality are beginning to be seen, although at the moment it has not been extended to all users. Proof of this are the screenshots that show that there are already users who can make voice calls with the WhatsApp app, at least in the testing phase.
Apparently, WhatsApp has initiated a method of activating VoiP calls in a phased manner, which will make users count on this function progressively and not all at once, as many expected. This system is by invitation and users who have activated the service can invite others simply by making a call, this will cause the call service to activate automatically on the other user, which will also allow make and receive calls with WhatsApp contacts.
Through the screenshot that has appeared on the Web, we can see that users will know that they have the service that allows you to make and receive calls from WhatsApp activated since in the upper right part of the user's chat, enter the name and contact photo, a phone icon will appear.
