A few days ago we told you about the new revolutionary photo sensor from 108MP, made by Samsung in collaboration with Xiaomi. Immediately, it was thought that the Chinese giant was reserving the photographic novelty for the future Mi MIX 4, but according to the latest rumors it doesn't seem to be exactly like this. In fact, the company would have in mind, to start, 4 smartphone models on which to implement the new Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX.
Xiaomi focuses on smartphone photography
The indiscretion seems fairly reliable, since it was found by XDA Developers colleagues within a version of the application that has not yet been released. Gallery of Xiaomi. Analyzing the APK code was discovered, but this was predictable, that there should be a feature capable of supporting the viewing of images taken at 108MP.
The list of terminals was surprising for which, at least initially, there will be this possibility. Not one, but four smartphones with as many code names: "tucana", "draco", "umi" and "cmi". Therefore, it seems quite clear that the company has in mind to launch at least four models with a photographic compartment with a main 108MP sensor on board.
Probably not all will arrive at the same time, but knowing the rhythms of Xiaomi it is possible that all of them will be expected by 2020. Another hypothesis, though quite remote, could be related to support for viewing content from 108MP also on other top-of-the-range smartphones, which may not be physically equipped with the sensor.
